Paragraph 2. The Acting Deputy Supt. of Police

did not instruct Lo Tung Chi to resign. He told him that the

Captain Supt. of Police suggested that he might send in his resignation.Vide my minute of 11.11.97 in C.S.0.2410/97.

Paragraph 4. The man Tang Kam (like the other

man Cheng On) only consented to give evidence against Witchell

on condition that he was asked no questions about his connec-

tion with the bribing of Chinese Police.

I consider Lo Tung Chi was properly dismissed.
